Brake Man Late Model Kit

F-4 TORNADO CALIPERS

The F4 is made for the late model dirt and asphalt cars, inboard rear sprint car, and for the rear of the Nascar Sprint Cup and Busch series cars. It fits the standard 3.5" mount with no modification. It also incorporates the patented crossover tube arrangement found on the F3 and the F5, so be ready for a major improvement in brake response! This caliper is so powerful, we have even made a new oversize pad, called the Super 4 " , just to take full advantage in the racing applications that this caliper is used on.

REVOLUTION ROTORS

In 1993 The Brake Man Inc. developed a whole new series of rotors designed to meet the needs of today's racers. These rotors are known as the "REVOLUTION" due to their unique design. Our entire concept was to develop a lightweight rotor that would tolerate the abuse that most racers would expect, while providing for quality brake operation.

Almost always, the first question out of a racer's mouth is: How much does it weigh?

The the answer is: not much!

Brake Man starts with a piece of high quality steel, with a design that maximizes strength while minimizing material weight, and then treat the material to remove all the internal stresses. The result is the most effective lightweight rotor on the market today. While they are not as light as titanium, these rotors will give you 80% of the weight reduction at 1/3 the price. As for cast aluminum, they can't compare! This rotor is much more impervious to damage and much more thermally capable. When used with our own Brake Man pads, our racers see several seasons of life from the rotors.

NOTICE! BEWARE OF COPYCAT ROTORS!

This rotor has been specifically designed to reduce warpage to a flat plate steel rotor. For many years, racers have been using steel rotors, especially on sprint car rear application and on Northeast Modified (DIRT) cars. We realized the weight benefits of running flat plate steel rotors, but they had a tendency to "dish" or "belville", within one to two nights of use. Four years ago, our engineering staff specifically designed the "Revolution" rotor not to warp. It is through a combination of design, material, and processing that we accomplished our goal to manufacture a far superior product. Now, other companies have copied the design, but never get it quite right! Some have made a cast version that cracks very easily. (Steel does not crack). Others have tried design changes to cheapen the product cost but do not do what the "Revolution" does, which is stay flat. If you want the real thing, get it from "The Brake Man, Inc.

Race 4-3/4" Pads

When you take a 3400 pound NASCAR to Martinsville,or a Dirt Late Model to the World 100 you can never have enough brake, but more importantly, you need consistency of feel from your pad. Our #84 compound was developed for the highest temperatures, longest duration races and conditions that put the highest thermal loads on the brake system. The coefficient of friction is high (.56) and friction gains as temperatures increases up to the maximum of 1500+ Degrees Fahrenheit. This pad is much more stable and longer lasting at high temperatures than other compounds. Very rotor friendly with an outstanding wear rate. This compound can also be used in lower temperature applications where the driver prefers a high "tip-in" or initial bite.

Brake Man Xtreme6 Fluid

High Performance DOT 5.1 Racing Brake Fluid by The Brake Man, is the extreme fluid for the most severe applications. Perfect for all types of motorsport and whenever critical conditions are present, XTREME 6 is the answer. It offers excellent compressibility and slow moisture absorption. Affordably priced compared to other premium fluids, this is one of the best brake fluids available. Compatible with all DOT 3,4, and 5.1 fluids. 612 deg F dry boiling point; with a wet boiling point in excess of any other premium fluid due to it's outstanding moisture rejection capabilities. Boiling point is not the only consideration if you are running a premium fluid; many fluids' composition provides high dry numbers but absorb moisture rapidly when heated, reducing braking performance and overall feel. Thermal capability over the course of an event and compressability at all temperatures are what define a fluid that meet the most Xtreme conditions.
